GETTING STARTED
-
Each session starts with you: what you'd like to explore and what you want to achieve. Working in partnership, I ask questions that help you reflect, gain new insight and decide your next steps. You do most of the talking and the deciding.
-
We start with what you’d like to focus on. I’ll help you understand what’s going on, for example how ADHD and executive function affect planning, focus or motivation, so the challenges make more sense. I’ll then share ideas, tools and strategies that may help, and we’ll talk through which ones suit you and how to adapt them to your life. Before we finish, we agree one or two small steps for you to try, and at the next session we review how they went and build from there.
-
Therapy focuses on healing, processing past experiences and supporting mental health. Coaching & Mentoring are forward-focused, helping you move towards your goals and build strategies that work for your daily life. Coaching & Mentoring aren’t replacements for therapy or medical treatment, and I'll always recommend additional support where it would be more helpful.
-
No. Many clients come to Coaching & Mentoring while waiting for assessment, partway through the diagnostic process, or simply recognising ADHD-like patterns in themselves without ever seeking a formal diagnosis. Coaching & Mentoring are about how your brain works day to day, not about a label.
SESSION LOGISTICS
-
Sessions typically run about an hour. Most clients meet weekly or fortnightly, especially at the start, so momentum doesn’t stall between sessions. We’ll agree a rhythm that suits your schedule.
-
Both are available. Most sessions happen over Zoom for convenience, though in-person sessions can be arranged. See the Services & Pricing page for more.
In person sessions are only suitable for those able to attend my therapy room.
-
Coaching & Mentoring are for ages 16 and up, including young adults, working adults, and parents looking for strategies to support a child or teen with ADHD at home.
COSTS
-
Sessions are £80 each. The discovery call is free. Full details are on the Services & Pricing page.
-
Yes. Cost shouldn't be a barrier to support, so I offer a small number of concession places each week. Please contact me to discuss.
FOR PARENTS
-
Coaching & Mentoring are offered from age 16 upwards. For younger teens, parent coaching can be just as effective, helping you build the structures and communication approaches that support your child at home.
-
Yes. A big part of parent Coaching & Mentoring is about your own strategies, boundaries and wellbeing. That often has a knock-on effect at home, even when your child isn’t directly involved yet.
